SAFSTOR (Exhibit)

SAFSTOR (2019)

Photographs, video, and audio related to the partial-meltdown of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station in 1979. This exhibition evolved from archival research informing the short film, SAFSTOR (2016), included in this exhibition. The materials were collected from the National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland. These photographs, audio, and video tapes are part of a group of records from The President's Commission on the Accident at Three Mile Island, March 29 - April 30, 1979 (NARA Record Group 220-TMI). While the visual records are preserved, there is little documentation accompanying these images, so they are presented here as “untitled.”
